Frequently Asked Questions

IR35 (the off-payroll working rules) applies when a UK-based contractor provides services via a personal service company. When VLS Sourcing is your EOR, your payment goes to us — a legal entity in India — not to an individual. The worker is employed by VLS Sourcing and is not operating a PSC in the UK. Your UK entity is therefore outside the IR35 chain entirely. You should always take independent legal advice to confirm this applies to your specific circumstances.
Not at all. You retain full day-to-day management of the individual — setting tasks, deadlines, KPIs, and working hours. VLS Sourcing manages the employment relationship (contracts, payroll, HR compliance, and disputes). Think of it as having a dedicated employee who appears on someone else's payroll.
Our contracts are month-to-month. You can give 30 days' notice to end the arrangement at any time. We handle the termination process with the employee in India in accordance with Indian employment law — at no additional cost or liability to your UK business.
Yes. Some clients use our EOR model for an initial 6–12 months to evaluate fit, then convert to a direct employment relationship (either in India or UK, depending on the individual's location and right to work). We can advise on the conversion process when the time comes.
